I am a sophomore at Riverside High School and the Academy of Science, and I am currently trying to code a practical app and I am looking to teach students a skill that can help them a lot in our current world of technology, coding.
I participated in robotics for 3 years, and my third year competing, I was part of the FIRST robotics competition. I was both part of the coding and engineering aspect of the robot. I have gone into 3 different Hackathons, one being HackTJ, a 24 hour coding event. At one hackathon, my team received an honorable mention. I have created 2 simple original games with Java and I have created an AI chatbot using Google Dialogflow. I know the languages of python and Java very well, and I know parts of the languages of Swift and C.
Many important careers are based off of computer science and programming as well as a very important technology called Artificial Intelligence. To learn the skills required for these careers, classes usually cost money to teach the coding languages, however, I wanted to provide the opportunity to learn these concepts for free, so I created this club to mentor students and guide them to achieve their potential within this field.
